Industrial Action Update
EIS-FELA have accepted the Pay and Terms and Conditions Offer 2022-26.
The agreement from academic staff to accept the pay deal is welcomed and therefore ends the industrial dispute regarding pay, terms and conditions.
There are therefore no further planned days of strike action for session 2024/25, in relation to this dispute.
Action Short of Strike (ASOS), including a resulting boycott, will also be concluded. As part of the settlement it has also been agreed that any outstanding withheld results for students will be inputted within 10 days from Wednesday 4 September, and we will be working closely with staff to support them in the resulting process. We are sure this will be welcome news for students and apprentices who have been impacted by this situation.
You can find out more on the agreement by clicking here to read a statement from Colleges Employers Scotland.
We acknowledge that this has been a difficult situation for everyone involved and now sincerely hope that Scotland’s further education sector can move forward as one unified community.
If you have any questions, please contact your Curriculum Manager or Apprenticeship Officer in the first instance.
