Forth Valley College’s new Vice Principal for Learning and Student Experience, Sarah Higgins-Rollo, is keen to share some key information with students around SQA results day on Tuesday 8 August.
She is also encouraging those who are waiting on their National, Higher and Advanced Higher results tomorrow, to visit the College’s dedicated landing page which has a wide range of useful information.
Key advice includes:
- Any student who has a conditional offer of a place at FVC and are waiting on their National, Higher and Advanced Higher results on Tuesday 8 August, and met their conditions – you do NOT need to contact the College, as we will confirm your conditions and convert your offer to Unconditional. Please keep checking your emails to complete your online enrolment.
- You must complete your online enrolment before your course starts – by doing this you will be able to access your digital student ID, timetables and first day information.
- All full-time courses will start week beginning 21 August 2023.
- If you don’t meet your conditions, you should contact the department for your course or one of our Support and Guidance Advisors who will be able to advise you on what to do next.
- For those who have changed their mind or have yet to apply to the College- there’s still places available. Please check our website for details.
- Any student waiting for news on whether they have attained an NC, HNC or HND qualification should be aware that, as part of our normal certification process these students should not expect to receive their results on 8 August.
Sarah said: “Regardless of your results, the College can support you to reach your next steps. There are many paths to success and we are on hand to offer help and advice.
“On behalf of everyone at the College, we wish every success to all those awaiting their results - whatever their plans and career aspirations are. We also look forward to welcoming those who already have plans to join our learning community later this month, and for those undecided on their next steps, I’d encourage them to have a look at the great range of courses with places still available for August entry.”
