Eager new Forth Valley College students began their journey into further education recently, and familiarised themselves with Coronavirus prevention procedures.
Online registration for the new academic term began in mid-August and FVC staff have been busy helping students to enrol onto their courses, in the new normal for further education.
Claire Graham (42) from Falkirk, a new NC Events Coordination student at the Stirling Campus, said: “I’ m looking forward to starting my NC Events course because It’s going to enhance the skills I have already gained through learning in the hospitality and event sector and I love learning new attributes that can enhance my business.
“The college is well marked out with floor stickers. Posters and hand-sanitising units and is kept clean to help keep students and staff stay safe in the fight against Covid 19.”
Lewis Scullion (18) who started his NC Travel and Tourism course at the Stirling Campus, said: “I am very much looking forward to studying for the NC Travel and Tourism Level 5 at FVC, because I know it will teach me new skills and build my confidence in doing certain tasks that will relate to a future pathway within travel and tourism, including progression onto further education.
“From what I have seen from over the past few days whilst beginning at college, is that everything has been pretty clearly worded in relation to signage. The team have done a great job.”
Nicola Mains (16) a Level 4 Early Education and Childcare student from Denny, said: “I am very excited to start my new course in childcare at the Falkirk Campus. The new measures in the college makes me feel safe and I am very happy with them.”
Classmate Louise Galbraith (17) from Bonnybridge, added: “I am looking forward to the course and meeting new people. I am happy with the procedures in place to keep people safe.”
