Forth Valley College's STEM and Construction Department received a generous gift recently of 4000 new bricks from Lee Marley (Brickwork Stone Scaffold).
The new bricks will help Modern Apprentices and full-time students literally build on their bricklaying skills and lay the foundations for a promising career in the construction industry.
FVC Bricklaying Lecturer John Denholm, said: “A great big thanks you to Lee Marley Operations Director Scotland Darren Stafford and his colleague Jason Docherty who organised the delivery to Falkirk and Alloa Campuses, and James Lewis and Taylor Maxwell of James Lewis and Sons who delivered the bricks.
“These bricks will not only benefit the six Lee Marley bricklaying MA students studying at Forth Valley College, but will be well used by all the students in bricklaying at our campuses. We are thankful to have the support from them and it is greatly appreciated.”
Darren Stafford, Lee Marley Operations Director, said: “Any help and support we can give the College only helps the industry in generating the bricklayers of tomorrow, by the investments and the actions we make today.”
