Fundraisers

Enterprising NQ Introduction to Business and Administration students raised more than £1300 for a good cause recently.

During the last five months five months – as part of their Business Enterprise unit – they have organised and completed two fundraising events, one a Raffle and Tombola at the Falkirk Campus reception and a Charity Prize Bingo event at the Scots Bistro in Grangemouth, in aid of the Falkirk Mental Health Association (FDAMH).

Student Grace Baff, said: “We have been working hard during college and out of college to organise the events.  We decided to not only do one event, but two events instead for the FDAMH.

“The first one we completed was The Raffle and Tombola which my classmates worked really hard on. We all had our jobs and we all had to bring in donations from either family and friends or businesses.

"We all had an upbeat attitude and had such a good time and at the end of the event we managed to raise approximately £700 for our chosen charity, which was amazing. After the second event we managed to raise approximately £600 for the charity. It has been a great experience and I would just like to say a big thank you to my classmates and everyone who donated.”
