  • Introduction to a Career in Social Care

    This is a six-week, part time, online tutor-supported course will introduce students to a career in Social Care, where opportunities are many and varied. The course has been designed for those who enjoy working with people, are compassionate, have a sense of fun and are seeking a new rewarding career helping others live their lives to the full.

    Participants will be able to work through the learning materials online at their own pace, extending their learning through videos and links to further information.

    A college tutor will be available to provide support and encouragement to ensure participant engagement with all the topics and to monitor progress. At the end of the course participants will have a final online meeting with a tutor who will check their understanding of all topics covered, and support them in exploring their next steps, either into employment, or further courses of study in Social Care.

  • Newstart - Care and Communities

    This course is aimed at learners who want to experience a range of academic and vocational subjects whilst simultaneously improving their core skills.

    Learners will also attend workshops which will facilitate personal development.

    Personal learning plans also provide support to learners when applying for future courses.

    This course is based at the Falkirk Campus and the Care and Community path is for learners who are interested in working in potential careers such as social work, education, youth work and nursing.

    We highly recommend that if students intend studying a Care course in August next year, that they apply as soon as possible due to the high volume of applications. Students on this course will have the opportunity to complete SQA units.

  • NC Beauty Care (Level Six)

    This course aims to provide thorough training and education in beauty therapy, allowing individuals to understand the principles and application of face, body and nail treatments and to apply them in the salon environment.

    The course will also develop the ability and confidence to meet the needs of the beauty therapy industry.

  • NC Beauty Care and Make-up

    This course is designed to equip candidates with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for further study within the field of beauty care and/or make-up or to enter employment at a junior level within these sectors.

  • Skills Boost - Preparation for Care Practice

    In this online learning course for Preparation for Care Practice you will work through a number of online interactive topics which will aim to prepare you for a further mainstream college course or career in the care industry.
