Virtual event to promote work placements for Business Skills FAs

Forth Valley College is hosting a virtual event to let employers know how they can still support work placements for Business Skills Foundation Apprenticeships during session 20/21.

The event will be held on Wednesday 23 September and the College is looking for more employers to get involved.

Forth Valley College Operational Manager Jackie Innes will introduce the online event at 2pm and then deliver a FA Business Skills Framework Overview.

A host of other speakers including Iasha Craig FVC’s FA Placement Co-ordiantor, Claire Owens Skills Development Scotland Partnership and Delivery Manager, Justyna Hassan from employer Norbord Ltd. FVC Assessor Seema Arshad, will also deliver presentations outlining how the pandemic has affected FA delivery, employer experience and placement activity.

Second year FA Business Skills Students will also give a presentation on their experiences on the programme and how they are looking forward to practicing their new knowledge and skills in a working environment.

The event will close around 3.15pm with information on the next steps for employers and a Question and Answer session for  registered virtual attendees.
