Scotland’s top universities set up stalls at Forth Valley College’s Falkirk and Stirling Campuses to help students with advice on their next steps.
The College to University Fair was held at Falkirk on Wednesday 25 October and at the Stirling Campus on Thursday 26 October, in order to provide information to FVC students who are thinking of applying to higher education to continue their studies.
Lisa Baxter, FVC’s Student Association & University Partnerships Manager, said: “The College to University Fair provided opportunities for FVC students to speak with representitives from 14 Scottish universities in terms of their ambitions for further study following completion of their HNC or HND courses.
“Many students find it difficult to attend Open Days and other events at university campuses, so these at-College events aimed to help students overcome barriers to seeking information and guidance from university staff.
“The majority of Scottish universities will accept College graduates who hold HNC or HND qualifications in relevant subject areas into second or third year of various degree programmes.
“The College to University Fair will have been of benefit to students who will be applying to universities via UCAS for courses starting Autumn 2024.
“Many thanks to all representatives from the various universities who attended throughout the two-day Fair, as well as FVC colleagues for their support.”
