Former professional footballer Jimmy Bones recently helped 30 students from Forth Valley College achieve a recognised coaching award from the Scottish Footballers Association (SFA).

Jimmy, who was representing the SFA and also Falkirk Community Trust, was the lead instructor on the free SFA Coaching Children Level 1.1 course. He was supported by Forth Valley College Lecturer Andy Steven who carried out some drill sessions.

Andy said:

“It is great to work in partnership with the SFA and Falkirk Community Trust as we are helping our students to gain recognised NGB awards that they can use in the workplace. With the continued help from Jimmy we are looking to conduct the 1.2 for children and 1.1 13+ Youth before the end of the academic year 16/17. We’re really grateful for this support.”
