Fun, freebies stalls and activities attracted students to Forth Valley College’s three campuses in Falkirk, Stirling and Alloa for this year’s annual Re-Freshers’ Fairs.
Packed with information and advice stalls, opportunities, clubs, societies and entertainment, the events – held on Tuesday 6 February (Falkirk), Wednesday 7 February (Alloa) and Thursday 8 February (Stirling) – were organised by the Forth Valley Student Association (FVSA) and had something to offer for students of all tastes and interests.
Steve Kemlo, FVSA Student President, said: “It is always a privilege for me to be able to represent the Students’ Association at events such as Refreshers. I love the variety of external organisation and internal college departments which we invite to Refreshers. It is important that we help students to have the best college experience possible. This includes showcasing the opportunities students can get involved in at college. I hope Refreshers gave students a glimpse of that.”
Kirsten Kennedy, FVSA Vice President, said: “It was so nice to have students, who attended Freshers back in block one, come and say hello again and also to have new students come and introduce themselves. The smoothie bike was, once again, a huge favourite amongst the students and even a staff member or two! Thank you to everyone who made it along!”
