Former FVC students returned to the main hall in the Falkirk Campus recently (Thursday 21 September) for the annual Sport and fitness Volunteering and Work Experience Fair.
In their new roles as employees of some of the main potential employers which hosted stands to give more than 200 students advice on how they can volunteer and just what they would be looking for from students when they graduate.
Jason Bolam who now works with Galaxy Sports, William Hoggan from Stenhousemuir FC, Mark Reid The Colour of our Scarves project, Graham Harvey Forth Valley Disability Sport, all former HND Sports Coaching students and Andy Boyle from Phoenix Fitness and Grace Roberts from Active Stirling both HND Fitness, Health and Exercise students, were delighted to give advice to current students at the college.
Chris Horne, Curriculum Manager in FVC’s Department of Care, Health and Sport, said: “It’s no coincidence that the majority of the employer representatives that attended the event are ex-students of FVC. We have been proud of the calibre and high standard of students that have graduated from our department over the years and it is no surprise to see that they are securing positions that allow them to use their skills to the best of their abilities.
“It is great that they were happy to return and give advice to our current students and their experiences will definitely have benefited anyone who talked to them on the day.”
