High school pupils from St Modan’s in Stirling once again turned the tables on their teachers recently by cooking and serving meals at Forth Valley College’s Gallery Restaurant.
The group from St Modan’s High School – guided by FVC’s Hospitality lecturing staff – hosted a Teens’ Takeover Day at the College’s Stirling Campus training restaurant and served up a delicious meal for their parents and teachers on the evening of Wednesday 10 May. They had previously taken part in a similar event in November 2022.
St Modan’s High School Teacher Margaret Ramsay, said: “Thank you to you and all Forth Valley College’s wonderful staff for helping to organise the Teens’ Takeover.
“We had another wonderful evening and all the guests who came along were thrilled with their meal and seeing the young people thrive in their new surroundings. All nine pupils were still buzzing from their adventures for days afterwards.
Again, it was only a success due to lecturers Rufaro and Andy leading the kitchen and front of house. The both of them are just incredible - so patient and encouraging with all the pupils (and me too!) and they always show humour and a smile in the midst of the whole event. It is an absolute pleasure to work alongside them both.”
Karyn King, FVC’s Operations Manager in Hospitality, said: “We were delighted as always to host the Teens’ Takeover in partnership with St Modan’s High School. The pupils did a wonderful job, and it was great to see so many pupils engaging in hospitality.”
