Students and staff organised three ‘Swap Shop’ style events this week to encourage donations to local food banks and the British Heart Foundation.

Activity for Forth Valley College’s ‘Pass it on Week’ (7-15 March) was organised by the Learning Resource Centre, Estates and Facilities and the Forth Valley Student Association (FVSA) and involved students from the Business and Community Department.

A stall was held at the Falkirk Campus outside the LRC on Tuesday 10 March, at the Stirling Campus on Wednesday 11 March at the main reception and at the Alloa Campus main reception on Thursday 12 March.

Activities on offer included a Bike Raffle – with the chance to win one of 15 bikes - a clothes swap, a food swap and collection, a toiletries swap and collection and an upcycled and sustainable goods stall. All left over items at the end of the week will be donated to the aforementioned charities.

David Gentles, FVC Learning Resource Assistant, said: “Pass it on Week is a great opportunity for staff and students to pass on things that they no longer need, promoting recycling and sustainability throughout the College.”
