Forth Valley Student Association’s (FVSA) new sabbatical President and Vice-President started in their new roles this week (Monday 3 July) at the Falkirk Campus.
After their election in May, in what is believed to be the ‘best ever’ campaign for the sabbatical full-time roles, Steve Kemlo and Kirsten Kennedy have now taken up their roles as President and Vice- President respectively.
Steve, a HNC Applied Biological Science student, from Stirling, said: “I am delighted to be the new FVSA President and I am looking forward to working with the Vice President and the rest of the FVSA team to improve the student experience. We will together serve the students the best way possible. I will always be there when students need me and my door is always open to all students. I am looking forward to meeting as many students as possible throughout the year and if they ever have any ideas or issues, they should come and speak to me.”
Kirsten, a HND Business student, from Alloa, said: “I’m also looking forward to meeting as many students as I can and representing them throughout the academic year. Forth Valley College has been life changing for me, the skills and knowledge I have gained over the last two years have culminated in me being elected as the FVSA Vice President. The door is always open, across all of our campuses, for all students and I hope they feel free to come in for a chat at any time.”
