Moodle has been shortlisted for a prestigious sparqs Student Engagement award.
Forth Valley College’s virtual learning environment has been nominated in Category 2 which focusses on An initiative led by a Student Association Partnership with their college which has made the most impact on the enhancement of the student experience.
The collaboration between the Moodle team and the student association began during Class rep training. The Moodle team created a road map of where Moodle was and where it had to be to meet the needs of students in the current climate of technology. All routes led to a change to the Moodle theme and a new Moodle framework which has now been implemented. The final decision for this was voted for by the students themselves.
The awards will be presented at the end of the sparqs conference on Thursday 23 March 2017.
Jasmin Hodge, Organisational Learning Coordinator, said:
“We are delighted to have been shortlisted for this award and it has been a great effort by team #stoodle - a link between the FV Student Association and the Moodle team. The Moodle team in particular, would also like to say thanks to the students for their valuable input and involvement to the creation of the new Moodle site and for their continued support.”
