Two groups of Forth Valley College students who came to the aid of Falkirk Ambulance Station to revive the décor in their mess room – have been praised by the Scottish Ambulance Service management.
In May this year, Painting and Decorating Modern Apprentices set to work transforming the area where the paramedics eat their meals and relax before call outs, by painting the walls and ceiling. Then Art and Design Portfolio Production students from the Creative Industries Department, designed and painted a wall hanging mural with the Scottish Ambulance Service badge, for the staff to mount with pride on their wall.
In a letter sent recently to the College, Glen Bland, Scottish Ambulance Service, Head of Service Forth Valley, said: “I want to express my deepest gratitude on behalf of the staff at Falkirk Ambulance Station for the wonderful initiative undertaken by Forth Valley Art Students and the Modern Apprentice Painter and Decorators. The artwork and painting project that took place has left an indelible mark on all of us.
“The presentation of the artwork by the talented Forth Valley Art Students was truly remarkable. Each piece displayed a unique blend of creativity, skill, and passion that captivated our senses. The students' ability to translate their artistic vision into tangible forms is a testament to the exceptional education and guidance they receive at your college.
“Furthermore, we were immensely fortunate to have the assistance of the Modern Apprentice Painter and Decorators in renovating our mess room. Their meticulous attention to detail and dedication to their craft transformed the space into a vibrant and welcoming environment. The expertise and professionalism they demonstrated throughout the process were commendable.
“The collaborative efforts of the Forth Valley Art Students and the Modern Apprentice Painter and Decorators have undoubtedly enhanced the workplace environment for all our staff. The colourful and thought-provoking artwork has sparked conversations and inspired creativity among our staff members. The beautifully painted mess room has become a place of solace and relaxation during staff breaks, rejuvenating them.
