Forth Valley College won gold and bronze awards at the College Development Network Marketing Awards 2016 yesterday evening (Thursday 3 March).

The College’s Communications and Marketing Team won the gold award in the Customer Experience category for their Fusion Blog – the online student magazine.

The judging panel felt this was a "well thought through submission” which was a “well executed creative proposal, built on a sustainable platform that clearly better engages the student body.” The judges also particularly liked “class representative training and strong partnership working with the Student Association.”

The team also won a bronze award in the Students’ Award for Website with the student Judging panel liking the “impressive layout and good interface of the website” and the “comprehensive space for the Students’ Association including up-to-date contact information for the student officer team and their staff.”

The annual College Development Network (CDN) Marketing Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the excellent marketing and communication practice taking place in colleges across Scotland.
This year, the awards were held in the Urban Village Hotel in Glasgow and was hosted by BBC news reporter Lisa Summers.

Lyndsay Condie, Head of Communications and Marketing for Forth Valley College said:

“We’re delighted to win this award; it’s fantastic to have our efforts recognised throughout the sector. We’re especially pleased to win the top prize in Customer Experience category for our Fusion Blog as we have a great partnership with our student writers and contributors, which helps to develop content relevant to meet their needs.”
