Staff and students from Forth Valley College have been showing how College Development Network’s (CDN) Love Scotland’s Colleges campaign has inspired them this week.
The week-long digital ‘Love Is…’ campaign dovetailed with the week of Valentine’s Day (Wednesday 14 February) and highlighted the importance and strength of Scotland’s colleges, promoting examples, both national and local, of how colleges support students, the economy, businesses, communities and staff.

… And on each day FVC were able to share a photo from a different department of the College, as well as showcasing relevant stories and films to correspond with the theme of each day.
On Monday 12 February Engineering Lecturer Ross McGeever displayed the LoveScotlandsColleges plaques that he had specially created through the College’s 3D printing unit.
On Tuesday 13 February, Chef Lecturer Martin Rodgers helped HNC Patisserie student Angela Campbell show off her heart shaped cake, all captured on camera by classmate Jack Eadie.
On Valentine’s Day, under the guidance of Lecturer Tracey Coupland, HND Make-Up Artistry student Lauren Bath (20) from Stirling, produced a design and applied her own make-up to create her own #LoveScotlandsColleges heart vision to promote the campaign – which everyone agreed was very eye-catching.
Thursday 15 February it was the turn of the Painting and Decorating Department under the leadership of Lecturers Michael Denzey and Stewart Mckenzie with Newstart Construction and Engineering students Jay Robertson (16) and Lee Watkins (16), brushing up on their skills along the way to the creation of a heart design in the Falkirk Campus workshop.
Finally, on Friday 16 February Jenna Morgan a designer in the Marketing and Communications Department showed that all you need is love hearts and gummi sweets to promote the Love Scotland’s College’s campaign.
The CDN campaign celebrated the outstanding innovation, hard work and best practice that takes place across the further education sector every day, and Forth Valley College was delighted to support the #LoveScotlandsColleges campaign.
