Dedicated Forth Valley College Science lecturers and students passed on their expertise and knowledge at the recent Stirling Science Festival held at the Albert Halls.
The event ran from Thursday 14 till Saturday 16 October, during the holiday week and it offered up fun and informative workshops, science Q&As, fun experiments and much more.
Ten staff and students held four COP26 inspired science shows and eight workshops, giving hands-on experience in how to best insulate houses and how to investigate water quality of local streams. All FVC run events, running from 10am-4pm, were booked out and FVC Science lecturer Lindsay Brown took some excellent photos to record the day.
Science Lecturer Kerstin Doig, said: “We couldn’t wait to get back out into the community and once again start to inspire the next generation of scientists. We were delighted to show people young and old, the wonders of science and encourage them to get involved.
"We were delighted to support the Stirling Science Festival and are now looking forward to seeing how our science shows and workshops have gone down with the curious members of the public, children and their mums and dads who took part during the exciting three day festival. Hopefully it could inspire them to become Forth Valley College science students in the future.”
