Forth Valley College expertise has been employed to help research an international initiative to support people with dementia.
Representatives from FVC’s Care, Health and Sport Department - as well as Andrew Campbell the College’s International Manager - attended a seminar at Dundee and Angus College on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 January to start the ball rolling on the Memory Media Project.
Nicola McArthur, Curriculum Manager said:
“Forth Valley College participated in a two day meeting which kicked off the project around supporting individuals with Dementia, especially from a digital point of view. This is a project which is funded through Erasmus+ with partners from Sweden, Spain and China. Dundee and Angus College are our lead partner in the collaboration and we look forward to working over the next two years on the project to create materials which could be used to support learning in this area. This is crucial to supporting the care sector and those who may be touched by this condition.”
“At the moment we are in the very initial stages, but we understand we will have a focus around Memory Media and possibly a Memory Box approach.”
