Students at Forth Valley College’s three campuses in Falkirk, Stirling and Alloa took part in fun and games at this year’s annual Freshers’ Fairs.
Packed with information and advice stalls, freebies, opportunities, clubs, societies, entertainment and fun, the events – held on Tuesday 20 September (Stirling), Wednesday 21 September (Falkirk) and Thursday 22 September (Alloa) – were organised by the Forth Valley Student Association (FVSA) and had something to offer for students of all tastes and interests.
An inflatable assault course at the Stirling Campus on Tuesday 22 got the pulses racing, Crazy Golf at Falkirk on the Wednesday put everyone into the swing of things and Cameron Young’s magic did the trick at Alloa on Thursday.
Davey’s Online Smartphone Quiz was another popular event on Tuesday 22 September, while a free movie – Black Adam – at Alloa Cinema and Stirling Vue proved to be an entertaining distraction, and Paws Against Stress visited all three Freshers’ events with their relaxing pooches.
Amber Little, FVSA Student President, said: “Freshers’ was a huge success! We received a lot of positive feedback from students and staff about the events and the different activities we had each day. I'd say that this was the best Freshers’ event FVSA have ever held, it's going to be very difficult to beat it next year!”
