A recent report from the Scottish Funding Council (SFC) has shown that Higher Education (HE) students at Forth Valley College have the highest achievement rates of all regional colleges across Scotland.
78.5% of full time students studying towards Higher National Certificates and Higher National Diplomas successfully completed their course during session 2014/15. This was an impressive 6% increase on the previous year (72.2%) and the third year in a row that achievement rates have increased at the College.
Younger students from Forth Valley College in the 18-24 age range, across all levels, also had the highest success rates amongst Scotland’s colleges.
Forth Valley College Principal Dr Ken Thomson said:
“We are delighted that our students have performed so well, and this is evidence of their hard work and commitment. The success of our students is at the heart of our mission of Making Learning Work. Moving forward, we will continue to deliver courses and training that deliver real results for our students, and look to raise achievement rates even higher for our current and future students.”
