Digital literacy was the driving force of a presentation Forth Valley College’s George Walls delivered to McLaren and Falkirk High School pupils recently.

George – FVC’s Test Centre Manager and IT lecturer in FVC’s Business Department – delivered talks on the benefits of the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) to around senior students (S5 and S6) and staff on Thursday 4 (McLaren HS) and Wednesday 17 (Falkirk HS) February respectively.

George said:

“The schools invited me to come and give a talk about the benefits of ECDL Qualification provided by Forth Valley College. It was certainly very well received at both secondary schools and there was a great deal of positive feedback and even early indicators of students hoping to apply.

“We are now aiming to build on this link up with additional secondary schools across the Forth Valley area, and hope to roll out the current successful partnership of our existing ECDL delivery model soon to other schools.”
