Pupils from high schools across central Scotland were at Forth Valley College’s Falkirk Campus recently (Thursday 14 November) to mix, measure and monitor science experiments at the Top of the Bench science competition.
Several schools attended the Mid-Scotland heat of the competition which was organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and the topic for this year was ‘Rates of Reaction’.
Dunblane High School - pictured here with Wullie Forrest FVC Operations Manager for the Department of Engineering and Science - were the winners on the night runners-up were Dollar Academy and McLaren High School. The winners will now go on to the UK finals of the competition. The winning school team won a trophy and a cheque – to the value of £250 - for their efforts on the night.
