A Forth Valley College HND Photography student has now displayed work at a hat-trick of exhibitions since the turn of the year.

Andrew Sherriff has had work shown at Sterling Mills in January and a current exhibition at the Smith Art Gallery and Museum and is now having his work exhibited at the Forth Valley Art beat event which runs until Saturday 18 June at various locations around the area.

Andrew said: “As part of Forth Valley Art Beat I was invited to collaborate with local photographer Kevin Byrne. We both opted to explore documentary photography, in an attempt to document aspects of Scottish society. This journey resulted in two distinctive bodies of work, my own, which depicts the de-industrialization of Scotland’s mining industry and Kevin’s studio portraits entitled "Red" which documents and celebrates people with ginger hair. Both myself and Kevin feel the projects work well together, and offer the viewer an opportunity to contemplate and celebrate Scottish society and her people."
