Safety in Microbiology
This three day SSERC certificated course is designed to provide you with a relevant qualification to support the delivery of courses that include microbiology in schools and colleges. It is a practical based course that includes:
- Sterilisation and disinfection procedures
- Media preparation
- Subculturing methods for bacteria and fungi as well as record keeping of the cultures
- Taking care of spillages
- Simple staining and Gram staining to identify microorganisms
