Scottish Wider Access Programmes (SWAP) give opportunities to adults returning to study after a period away from education. These courses are specifically designed for adult returners who do not have the necessary qualifications to gain a place on an HN or a degree course at university.
Successful completion of this programme will give you an opportunity to apply for Nursing at several Universities in Scotland. Adults with few or no qualifications will be considered.

Progression can also include: HNC Social Services; HNC Health Care Practice
Adult returners with few or no formal qualifications will be considered. Applicants must have been out of f/time education for at least 3 years (for those whose highest qualification is level 5) or 5 years (for those who have Highers or other level 6 qualifications). Applications should include a stong personal statement which focus's on why the applicant wants to complete this course and their proposed career goals. The selection process will be by individual applicant interview
