Book online or call 01324 403000 to reserve your place.

Week 1: Introduction to drawing activities will include some fun ‘quick draw’ and inky drawing techniques, looking at objects and textural ‘mark-making’ approaches.

Week 2: Painting session will involve thinking about colour, experimenting with some basic techniques using acrylic and watercolour paints; mixing, layering and pattern with resist/ transfer.

Week 3: Printmaking in its simplest form, (without a press), can be done at home very easily with just a few basic instructions you’ll learn how to create beautiful mono-prints with rollers and inks.

Week 4: Collage is a free, fantasy approach to composing artwork, often a really great tool for giving you ideas too, (especially if you don’t always like to draw), it’s always a success as ‘anything goes’.

Week 5: Applique is our introduction to experimenting with fabrics, cutting, layering, dyeing, and if you fancy it, some simple stitching, fun with ‘bits and bobs’ embellishments to create a small hanging piece.

Week 6: 3D Modelling with air-drying clay for our final set of basic techniques to exploring modelling, coil and slab methods to make your mini sculpture.
