  • Mathematics - Higher - Evening

    Forth Valley College offers a range of mathematics courses from National 5 through to Higher.


    The Falkirk campus course will be delivered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

    Important Information for all non UK nationals

    The College has a requirement to complete a residency check on all non-UK nationals for tuition fee purposes. When you book and pay for your course online, please be aware that you will be contacted by a member of our Student Administration team and asked to provide documents i.e. a copy of your passport; proof of your settlement status and EU share code.

    Following assessment of evidence, if you do not meet the criteria for ‘home fee status’, you will contacted and advised of any additional fee required.

    EU Nationals

    If you are currently living in the UK then you should have already applied for the EU Settlement Scheme which will allow you to continue living in the UK. 

    From 1st January 2021, if you are a national of a country outwith the UK it is most likely you will need a visa to study in the UK.  You can check if you require a visa by visiting the UK Government’s website here.  If you require a student visa, further information can be obtained at the following link.

  • Professional Development Award: An Introduction to Tutoring English to Speakers of Other Languages (ITESOL) (SCQF Level 6)

    The Professional Development Award: An Introduction to Tutoring English to Speakers of Other Languages (ITESOL) (SCQF Level 6), is for those working with English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) learners, but who may have no prior recognised ESOL teaching/tutoring qualifications. It is also appropriate for teachers and lecturers of other subjects who have ESOL learners in their classes and wish to develop a broader understanding of issues related to English language development and it impacts on their teaching/tutoring contexts.

    This ITESOL PDA is designed to:

    · provide underpinning core knowledge required to work with ESOL learners

    · promote awareness of English language skills development

    · develop skills in integrating language skills in the context of ESOL delivery

    · provide opportunities to develop practical tutoring skills in the context of

    The course will run for 2 hours a week in the evening, over the academic year from August 2023 to June 2024, and delivery will be a blended approach of in class and online provision.

  • Spanish For Holidays

    This is an 8 week beginners' course for people with little or no knowledge of Spanish and who wish to learn basic holiday phrases through everyday situations. 

    Please note there will be a 3 week break in the course to accommodate holidays.

  • STEM Club - Evening

    This course has been designed to encourage young people from across the Forth Valley area to consider a career in science and technology. The STEM Club aims to engage young people aged between 8-14 years old in a variety of interactive activities relating to Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths in order to highlight the wide range of career paths available.

    The Falkirk campus course will be delivered on Tuesday or Thursday evenings depending which course you book onto.
    The Stirling campus course will be delivered on Thursday evenings.

  • SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) Level 2

    The course has been designed for individuals who are working within a Children and Young People setting and will provide evidence of an individual's competency in supporting children in all aspects of daily life. The Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF level 6 is designed for people who are already working, in a range of environments including day or home care settings, family support, nursery or education settings. Candidates are required to compile a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate understanding of theory, principles and practices.

    The SVQ will allow you to build upon your existing skills and knowledge to enhance practice in a range of settings.  The course will provide individuals with the skills, knowledge and experience to develop a career within this sector and register with SSSC at Support Worker level.
