Liam Bell (17) is a first year Joinery Modern Apprentice from Kincardine.
He currently works with Hilston and Bennett based in Falkirk and his role at the moment is to observe and get trained up to attain the same level as his fellow workmates by the end of his apprenticeship. He is currently involved in making sash and case windows and doors.
He said: “The Forth Valley College Apprenticeship programme is well organised and has helped me get into a good job with Hilston and Bennett. It really has helped me become more confident and knowledgeable in joinery. The facilities at the College are good and every lecturer I have had has been helpful.
“I would recommend the MA programme and the College as it is a great way to earn while you learn in a workplace. The best bit for me is being trusted to work individually instead of having to rely on help from others. My advice to other young MAs would be stick in, listen and make sure you enjoy it.”
