A Virtual Teacher Information event shone the spotlight on the range of courses and student support available for school pupils at Forth Valley College recently.
The online Zoom event was held on Wednesday 1 December and was aimed at teachers, careers advisors and school staff to help them learn more about what FVC has to offer.
Beginning at 4pm various sessions were held throughout the evening delivered by key College staff members covering a range of topics, including: Full-Time Courses and Funding; Degrees and Articulation; Apprenticeships; School Partnership Courses; and Student Support.
Anna Vogt, Head of Inclusion and Student Services said: “From my teams’ point of view, this event was incredibly beneficial. Events like this allow us to start the conversation with schools around what a transition to college looks like and what support is available for a young person throughout their college journey. Every young person is different and the support they require needs to be tailored to them, so beginning that conversation early ensures that our support can be effective and timely.”
