Digi Expo trip energises FVC students
DigiExpo

A group of 15 BSc Software Development with Cyber Security students organised their very own site visit to Scotland’s largest Tech Conference recently.

The second year students travelled to DigiExpo in Edinburgh at the EICC on Thursday 10 November and had a beneficial experience. During the full day event the students attended talks, network and visited various exhibitions.

The feedback from the students has already been very positive and they enjoyed engaging with the tech community, which included leading tech companies from across the world. The students also visited a retro games bar afterwards and continued to enjoy the day.

FVC Computing Lecturer, Susan Gardner, said: "We are extremely proud of our students for arranging an outing to the DigiExpo conference in Edinburgh. Not only did they fully organise the trip, but they conducted themselves professionally and came back with huge bursts of motivation. They embraced everything the day had to offer, demonstrating an amazing example of active learning and a positive classroom community. It's great to see students back out at events and embracing everything that the tech community has to offer. This is what is needed to guide them to the careers they are working so hard for."
