Arrivals: Skills for Airline & Airport Operations (Schools)

***PLEASE NOTE - only pupils who will be at school during session 2024/25 can apply for this course***

This new and exciting course provides an insight into the world of travel, tourism and hospitality. You will gain a wide range of transferrable skills to equip you for employment in this vibrant sector.

The course will provide the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare you for employment within aviation and ground operations in airports, in addition, you will explore the skills required to be a resort representative. You will be introduced to the different styles of resort work, with key knowledge relating to performing airport transfers and resort welcome meetings.

You will learn and demonstrate Barista skills as part of this course, with full tuition on the range of teas and coffees on our Barista machines.

  • This course acts as an ideal pathway into a career in travel or hospitality and can lead on to further study in Events, Travel & Tourism, Hospitality

  • Please note that only secondary school pupils staying on at school and who will be starting S4, S5 or S6 in August 2024 are eligible to apply for this course.
  • Pupils will have achieved 4 x Nat 4 including English and Maths/Application of Maths and working towards Nat 5 preferably
