Forensic Science (Schools)

This unit introduces learners to fundamental techniques of forensic science allowing them to develop skills in biology, chemistry and physics in this contemporary context. Learners will also develop basic research and information handling skills. The unit is suitable for learners with an interest in general science and its practical applications as well as for those who are looking to access further studies in forensic related areas.  

This course takes a hands-on approach to the science of forensic investigation. The emphasis is on doing rather than theory and covers topics such as fingerprint recovery and identification, blood detection and analysis, DNA extraction and analysis. 

The deadline for applications is Friday 19 April 2024 but early applications are encouraged.
