The Skills for Work: Hospitality National 5 is an exciting course which aims to give a broad introduction to hospitality.  There will be opportunities to do some cooking, work front of house and run some events as part of a team.

The deadline for applications is Friday 19 April 2024 but early applications are encouraged.

  • This course is designed to give an introduction into the world of working in Hospitality, and would give valuable experience if students wanted to pursue a career working front of house or in the kitchen.

  • NQ Events and Tourism
  • NC Bakery

  • Please note that only secondary school pupils staying on at school and who will be starting S4, S5 or S6 in August 2024 are eligible to apply for this course.
  • Pupils will have achieved 4 x Nat 4 including English and Maths and working towards Nat 5 preferably.
  • An interest in Hospitality is essential, as well as an ability to work well on your own and as part of a team.

• If your application is unsuccessful, you should speak to a guidance teacher or SDS school liaison officer.
