HND Make-Up Artistry: TV, Film and Theatre

This exciting and innovative course allows participants to develop skills for the media and make-up industries. Students will develop skills in basic and advanced make-up application techniques in conjunction with applied hairdressing skills and wig dressing methods. Candidate's work will be showcased through the production of portfolios, on-going assessments and work experience.

One of the following:

  • SVQ Level 3 or NC Level 6 Beauty Therapy
  • SVQ Level 3 Hairdressing
  • 2 Highers (including English)
  • NC Make-up Artistry 
  • Applicants who do not meet these criteria, but have relevant experience or alternative qualifications will be considered

Additional Requirements:

  • Students will be required to purchase a kit for each year of the programme as well as uniforms and portfolios
  • Students must be prepared to work out of College hours for work experience, when required

• If your application is successful, you will be invited for interview. For January start courses interviews will be in Nov/Dec and interviews for August start courses will take place between February and May
• If your application is unsuccessful, you will be offered support in finding a suitable alternative course
