SVQ/MA Bricklaying SCQF Level 6

Candidates must be employed by a company within the bricklaying trade.

This training programme aims to develop craft skills and theory in relation to bricklaying and trowel trades. The programme combines practical training both on-the-job and off-the-job, job knowledge and associated studies relating to the trade.

  • Bricklaying
  • Preparation and Mixing of Materials
  • Decorative Walling
  • Health and Safety
  • Quality practices
  • Erecting/Dismantling Working Platforms

As well as the above SVQ, Modern Apprenticeship candidates undertake the following:

  • Core Skills SCQF 5

Candidates may progress to further or higher education courses.  They may also choose to undertake the Advanced Craft course offered by Forth Valley College if available at time of completion.

  • Candidates must be employed by a company within the bricklaying trade
  • 4 Standard Grades at Level 3/4 or above or the new National 5 in relevant subjects

Please note that Modern Apprenticeship candidates are selected by interview and aptitude tests.
