2026 End of Year Art show opening soon

Forth Valley College’s celebrated degree and diploma art exhibition will open to the public at the Stirling Campus on Friday 29 May.

The show offers members of the public, students and staff the opportunity to check out work from the next generation of artists from the College’s Creative Industries Department. The free exhibition will be open to the public on Friday 29 May 10am-4pm, Monday 1 June 10am-4pm, Tuesday 2 June 10am-8.30pm, Wednesday 3 June 10am-4pm and Thursday 5 June 10am-8.30pm.

The show will highlight a wide range of media including art, design, photography, sculpture, installation, video and audio created by learners from the BA Art and Design (Third Years), Visual Communications (Second Years), HND Photography (Second Years) and HND Art and Design (Second Years), as well as highlighting the talent of students across courses in art and design, film media and sound production.

Edyta Deluga (20) from Bridge of Allan, who is exhibiting a multi media lab installation, said: “I am looking forward to the show as it is something we have been working towards since January. We have all put a lot of creativity into our art and I think it will be a really good exhibition.”

Benjamin Williams (21) from Stirling, who will be showing a sculpture of a UFO giving birth to an alien giving a depiction of social isolation, entitled Project Echo, said: “The show will be a great culmination of all our work at the end of the year. I am also looking forward to meeting other students from different courses at the show and to see all their family and friends who are coming to see their work. It is an opportunity to show off your biggest passion project of the course and I am excited by it."

Iowna Duda (47), from Cumbernauld, who will be showing mixed media work including clay pottery, wall art and crochet work which tells the story of her cultural heritage, said: “I am really looking forward to the show and of showing my mixed media installation work off to those who will be attending.”

Marcus Swanston (33) from Stirling, who specialises in flower photography with his work entitled Herbarium Nocturne (Flower in the Dark) said: “I feel the work that I will be showing the best work I have produced over the last three years. The show opens up opportunities for people to come and see and comment on our work, and I would urge as many people as possible to come and see the work produced by Creative Industries students here at Forth Valley College.”

Kenny MacInnes, Principal of Forth Valley College, said: “As always, I am really looking forward to this year’s End of Year show as it is one of the College’s highlights of the year. It is a fantastic opportunity for our students to showcase their work, which they have been creating over the last year and I encourage as many people as possible to come along and see for themselves the talent that Forth Valley College has developed a reputation for producing in this area.”
