College Shortlisted for two CDN awards

College Development Network (CDN) have shortlisted Forth Valley College for two of their annual awards.

FVC have made the final three in the categories of Changemaker and Employability in Action and will find out if they are successful at an event to be held at the Radisson Blu in Glasgow on Thursday 3 December 2026, hosted by BBC broadcaster Amy Irons.

The CDN Awards celebrate the talent, dedication and achievements of colleges, their staff and learners, shining a spotlight on the excellence, innovation and impact taking place across Scotland’s college sector.

The College’s Changemaker submission is titled ‘Campus Catalyst: Reimagining Entrepreneurial Learning Through Partnership, Inclusion and Real-World Challenge’.

Campus Catalyst has transformed entrepreneurial learning at Forth Valley College by embedding enterprise skills, creativity and problem-solving across the curriculum, helping learners connect innovation and entrepreneurship to their chosen vocational area. It was put forward in recognition of its success in increasing learner confidence and engagement, strengthening staff capability, and creating a sustainable model for entrepreneurial learning through strong partnership working and real-world experiences.

FVC’s Employability in Action submission is named: Transforming Orthopaedic Workforce Development through Co-Produced Innovation. The Orthopaedics Programme is an employer-led professional learning initiative developed in partnership with NHS colleagues to address a specialist workforce skills gap and provide accessible, Scotland-based training for orthopaedic practitioners. It was put forward in recognition of its strong collaborative approach, positive impact on workforce capability and patient care, and its success in creating a sustainable model for employer co-designed training that can be replicated across the sector.
