NQ Introduction to Sport & Fitness

Working within the Sport & Fitness Industry can be a rewarding career choice. This course provides candidates with an Introduction into exploring key elements of study within the Sport and Fitness Sector. Whilst studying on the course you will develop and prepare skills that can provide you with a starting point to progressing onto higher level study with Sport & Fitness at Forth Valley College.

As the course has a degree of practical element involved in its timetable, a keen interest in participating in both Sport and Fitness related studies is highly recommended.

  • This course is a pathway towards further study and future careers within Sport & Fitness,

  • NQ Sport & Fitness (SCQF - Level 5)
  • NQ Pathway to Sports Coaching (SCQF - Level 6)
  • NQ Pathway to Fitness, Health & Exercise (SCQF - Level 6)

  • Successful interview
  • A keen interest in Sport & Fitness and preferably able to demonstrate current participation in Sport and Fitness.

Plus one of the following:

  • 2 National 4 awards, including English (or equivalent)
  • Applicants who do not meet these criteria, but have relevant paid workplace experience or alternative qualifications will be considered.

If your application is successful, you will be invited for interview. For January start courses interviews will be in Nov/Dec and interviews for August start courses will take place between February and May

If your application is unsuccessful, you will be offered support in finding a suitable alternative course

Applicants who provide a mobile phone numbe on their applicatioin form will be sent a text reminder prior to the day of interview.
