A selection centre will provide an overview of the course content and outline the expectations of the course.

If you are attending a selection centre for a Sports course, you will also be asked to take part in a practical group task.

If you are attending a selection centre for a ESOL course you will also be asked to take part in a language assessment.

If you are attending a selection centre for a Pre-Apprenticeship course, you will also be asked to take part in a practical exercise. Students must also complete pre employment assessment prior to attending the selection centre. 

If you are attending a selection centre for a NQ Carpentry and Joinery or NQ Painting and Decorating, you will also be asked to take part in a practical exercise. 

If you are attending a selection centre for any of the Electrical Engineering courses, you will be required to complete a skills assessment, which will include a maths‑based test.

Where available, a campus tour will be offered, giving you the opportunity to explore the facilities and gain a better understanding of the learning environment
