New funding is available to support people across our communities to improve their career opportunities, increase their earning potential and achieve their goals through learning and training.
If you're eligible, funding could help you access training and qualifications that support you to:

- Progress in your current career
- Develop your skills if you are self-employed or running an early-stage business
- Gain new skills and qualifications
- Increase your confidence and employability
- Improve your earning potential
In some cases, additional support may also be available to help with costs such as travel and childcare.

Raising Income through Skills & Education (RISE)
Who is eligible?
Individuals who are employed or unemployed with an income of less than £33,000 per year, who also meet one of the following criteria:
- Have a child under 18 living at home
What does it support?
Skills development, qualifications and employability support that helps people:
- Enter employment
- Sustain employment
- Progress in their careers
Funding available
- Up to £3,750 per learner
Training Access Fund (TAF)
Who is eligible?
Individuals who are employed or unemployed with an income of less than £33,000 per year, who also meet one of the following criteria:
- Have a child under 18 living at home
What does it support?
Skills development, qualifications and employability support that helps people:
- Enter employment
- Sustain employment
- Progress in their careers
Funding available
- Up to £500 per learner
