Electrical Installation third year Modern Apprentices completed their last week at Forth Valley College this week, and showed how buzzin’ they are for supporting Scotland at the World Cup this summer!
The 11 strong group all went out and bought the current Scotland strip so they could celebrate their last day in class at the Falkirk Campus… something Scottish football names such as Tony Watt and Berti Vogts (sic Volts) would be impressed by…as would Jules (sic Joules) Rimet – the original World Cup trophy designer!
It is fair to say that Paul O'Hara, Pearse Quinn, Fraser Dempsey, Ben Watson (All FES employees), Lewis Weir (ISS), Aiden Murphy (Lightways), Lleyton Batchelor (Clackmannanshire Council), Robbie Crawford (Barlows), Nick Torkington (Stirling Council), Drew Skinner (DT Gen) and Jake Hamilton (Altrad) – who all flexed their muscles on a lads holiday to Benidorm last summer - will not be neutral when supporting Scotland at the World Cup… and it is only a matter of time before they all buy tickets on mass to go and see AC/DC in concert.
FVC Lecturer Hugh Simpson, said: “They're a good bunch and it's nice to see them meet at College and create friendships. It's also nice to see young people excited for the World Cup.”
Fellow Lecturer, Paul McHardy, said: “It's great when a group come in and brighten up the day. The group excitement for the World Cup is infectious and it's bringing the feel good factor at the end of the College year.”
