Forth Valley College have been shortlisted as a finalist for the prestigious Training Organisation of the Year’ award at the Engineering Construction Industry (ECI) Training and Development Awards 2026.

The winners will be revealed at a special awards ceremony on Thursday 26 November 2026 at 60 Great Queen Street, London.

The 14th ECI Training and Development Awards, organised by the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB), brings together industry leaders, influencers and policymakers, as well as the rising stars of tomorrow.

Our submission to the awards outlined how Forth Valley College delivers the APTUS Offshore Apprenticeship programme, and has done for several years. The College recently had 37 apprentices finishing up on the old frameworks with the help of assessors, and 25 apprentices who are progressing on the new frameworks.

FVC also delivered the ECITB Scholarship Programme in the last year, a programme that has been running for the last three years with great and growing success.

There has been many positive examples including:

  • Increased learner participation
  • Positive employer feedback
  • Learners progressing into employment or new roles
  • Industry recognition or accreditation

Caroline Hogg, FVC’s Head of Apprenticeships, said: “The College has an achievement rate of 100% for all APTUS Offshore apprentices. This shows that the support given to all apprentices is complete and continuous to make sure they feel supported by FVC as a provider and can also be seen by our internal feedback from employers and apprentices.”

FVC Principal and Chief Executive Kenny MacInnes said: “I am absolutely delighted with the recognition of being shortlisted in the ECI awards this year. To be principal of an organisation that’s been recognised for delivering such excellent training is just overwhelming.

“We’ve had such a long relationship with the ECITB. It’s fantastic to be recognised among our peers for delivering excellence working in close partnership for so long.”
