A Hydrogen Technology Expo in Hamburg, Germany, was the perfect place for Forth Valley College’s new Global Partnership Manager to start his travels to seek out new opportunities.

Jamie represented FVC as part of the Scottish Development International delegation at ‘Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe’ from 21-23 October, a solutions-driven trade fair and conference dedicated to the development of new technologies to overcome the sector’s technical challenges, and propel hydrogen into the mainstream for stationary and mobile applications.

The event brought together the industry’s entire supply chain to discuss everything from technologies and solutions for low-carbon hydrogen production, efficient storage, transport and infrastructure, as well as advanced design, testing and development, manufacturing solutions and advanced materials for hydrogen fuel cells.

Jamie, said: “It was a pleasure to represent Forth Valley College at the world’s largest hydrogen focused event in a country which is a key strategic partner of Scotland in this regard.

“With the College’s leading position in supporting the public and private sector workforces with skills, training and development to enable the energy transition, it was important to attend to build new relationships and identify collaborative opportunities. We want to share our unique expertise on the global stage and we look forward to continued engagement with existing and new partners to support their journey towards net zero.”
