Description

You will gain the confidence and practical skills to manage life-threatening emergencies as well as a wide range of workplace injuries and illnesses. Training is based on adult casualties.

Content

Role and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
Assessing an incident
Managing an unresponsive casualty
CPR and defibrillation (AED)
Recovery position
Choking
Seizures
Shock
Wounds and bleeding
Minor injuries: cuts, grazes, bruises, burns, scalds, nosebleeds, splinters

This is a hands on course that includes physical elements such as demonstrating CPR on a manikin. You will also be required to kneel on the floor to carry out the practical assessments and we would ask that you dress accordingly.

Certification

On successful completion, you will receive an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate, valid for 3 years
