Caroline Hogg, said: “They couldn’t thank the College - and especially Charlene Bissett - enough for the support we give them with their apprentices. Wood have an unwavering commitment to nurturing future engineering talent, and they are leading the way in innovation and employee development. A great big well done to them.”

Wood became an apprentice employer in 2023 as part of their commitment to fostering early career development, and ensuring a steady pipeline of skilled professionals for the energy sector. Apprenticeships help address the industry’s skills gap and support Wood’s long-term business goals by nurturing talent from the ground up. In 2023, Wood employed 17

apprentices through the APTUS scheme, with support from the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) and Forth Valley College, ensuring their apprentices receive top-quality training.
