Students flocked to the fun, freebies, stalls and activities offered at this year’s Forth Valley Student Association’s (FVSA) ‘Welcome Week’ events.
The Welcome Week was packed with information and advice stalls, opportunities, clubs, societies and entertainment opportunities on Tuesday 15 September (Falkirk), Wednesday 16 September (Stirling) and Thursday 17 September (Alloa) – and were organised by the FVSA to appeal to students of all tastes and interests.
Katarzyna Slapek, FVSA Student Engagement Coordinator, said: “It was great to meet new and returning students and see how keen they were to get involved with the Student Association.
“The Welcome Fair is a fantastic opportunity for new and returning students to meet people, discover what's available across the College, and enjoy a fun and engaging atmosphere.
“We offered a wide variety of stalls, including information on College services and support available across our Falkirk, Stirling and Alloa Campuses. There was also the chance to meet a range of external exhibitors, including popular organisations such as Coca-Cola, Cineworld, and Wella – for providing free hair products - along with many other local and national partners.
“As always, there was plenty of fun activities, competitions, giveaways, and prizes throughout the event, and from the feedback we have had students seem to have enjoyed themselves at all three events.”
