Results Day 2024 Celebrated At FVC

Students at Forth Valley College celebrated receiving their National and Higher qualification results on Tuesday 6 August, with the College once again maintaining its impressive recent success rate.

The total pass success rates for all courses in 2023/24 was 82%, which is slightly lower than the results for 2022/23 (84%) but higher than 2021/22 (77%). A total of 229 students presented for 17 different subjects at varying levels of National Qualifications and 188 passed.

As always, results day highlighted the wide range of exciting learning opportunities available at Forth Valley College and how young people can achieve success in many different ways. It was also an opportunity to promote the wide variety of pathways to success.

Kenny MacInnes, Principal of Forth Valley College, said: “It is great, once again, to see so many of our National and Higher qualification students achieving positive results, we are very proud of them all. The interesting thing for me is that everyone’s journey is different, whether it be a Foundation Apprenticeship, a Modern Apprenticeship, a school link programme such as SCOTS or a HNC, or National Level qualifications and Highers. There really is no wrong path, just as long as you can reach your chosen destination and students aged between 16-18 always have options to achieve success in many different ways.

“We hope many of the secondary school pupils will find out about the wide range of courses and study routes we have on offer here at Forth Valley College, so we can help make learning work for them in the future.”
