Forth Valley College’s Stirling Campus is set to host the book signing launch of a fascinating guide to Scotland’s cinematic heartland – titled ‘Lights, Camera, Stirling!’
FVC’s Learning Resource Centre (LRC) at the Stirling Campus will welcome authors Dr Tom Christie and Julie Christie to an hour-long event at 11am on Tuesday 28 April, where they will talk about the journey behind their new release, answer questions from College students, staff and members of the wider Stirling public, perform readings and also sign copies of their new book which will be on sale on the day.
The book - the second in a series behind ‘Lights, Camera, Dundee!’ released last year - details many of the most remarkable big and small screen films that have been set or filmed in location in the Stirling area, including the FVC Stirling Campus which was the location for scenes in a recent Rebus detective TV series.

Tom and Julie are multi-award winning directors of Stirling based Extremis Publishing and also creators of a popular FVC evening course – ‘Writing For Publication’. Tom himself is the author of 23 books and also hosts an engaging regular podcast called ‘The Extremis Publishing Podcast’ and the firm also have a bi-monthly newsletter called ‘Extremis Etc’.
